Backport of gcc 3.4 -fpie and -fPIE flags (will be committed soon)
Source needs to be compiled position independent with either -fpic/-fPIC or -fpie/-fPIE
small pic vs large pic (sparc64 and alpha)
-fpie vs -fpic vs no-flags
